(Guy Takayama Pro) Texas Gulf Surfing Association members head to Oceanside to compete August 12-14th for the second year running in SoCal. The great folks at G.T.Pro & OLSC invited the Texans back in May 2016 and compiled a Texas team to travel to Oceanside. The Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club contest is one of the longest running club contests in California. Cinco de Mayo Pro & James Greer Foundation teamed up with the G.T. Pro two years ago. In 2016 we had the very first ever Guy Takayama Noseriding contest that was integrated into the Cinco 2016 4-day event schedule. It proved to be a show stopper for our surfing events. We are excited to compete once again at Oceanside pier with our Texas Surfers in tow. On tap will be the Guy Takayama Open, OLSC 32nd annual Club & 16th annual Guy Takayama Pro Noseriding contests. Dates on all three of these events run August 12-14th. That’s not all for this festival they will also host the first ever SUP Paddle Race along with a tandem surf event. Vendors will be on hand throughout the festival along with a long stream of constant live music playing for 3- days on location at the amphitheater.
