CINCO DE MAYO PRO 2017 GRINDS OUT 20 EVENTS IN 4-DAYS
The memories are still fresh in our minds from Corpus Christi, but the surf, sand, paddles and the sounds of spiking volleyballs & clanking horseshoes are silent for now. Another successful Cinco in the books and it’s on to 2018 planning. As always, it will be bigger & better as we surf on down the road into the next year. The grind is real and it’s mostly non-stop for 365 days a year.
Volunteers and partners are the key to any successful batch of events within a short period of time. Multi-tasking is the name of the game for all of our great volunteers. Having the proper personnel in place to cover all the different sports we offer is a tall order. Big shout-out to our hard working crews that came to work and gave back time for the JGF cause. We could not have done it without all of our guys & gals, especially under difficult time frames and situations.
The Cinco has come a long way in a very short period of time and trying new and different events is our MO. Lot’s of first and second year events here in the Cinco sporting world, including Guy Takayama Pro/Am Noseriding Series, Restube-Herc Rentals Night Surf, OX Endurance Formula SUP Night Racing and our first 10K SUP race that now flanks our 5K SUP.
We are proud to announce big numbers across the board. Spectators and Athletes alike roared into record numbers for 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Also, larger numbers on purse’s across the board. James Greer Foundation scholarship award monies continue to rise thanks in part to all of our partners including H.E.B (HELPING HERE) donations.
