We love getting behind great new events in Texas and the BOERNE PADDLE BATTLE is no exception. Anchor Paddleboards-Hill Country Paddle Sports is rolling out the SUP 5K & 10K  for local charities. Let’s get behind this event on Boerne Lake. We are excited to announce the first ever BOERNE PADDLE BATTLE October 1st 2016. This is a charitable event for all experience levels – whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned racer. All ages and paddle craft are welcomed and encouraged! This is a family friendly event for all to enjoy. From the Fun 5K to the Elite 10K race, spectators will be able to cheer their competitors on as the races take place at beautiful Boerne City Lake. Awards, food Trucks, drinks, Vendors, live music, Raffle and more will follow the Race at Random Beer Garden. Bring the entire family for a wonderful day of racing, fun, food, & drink. REGISTER TODAY AT: https://paddleguru.com/races/BoernePaddleBattle

The BPB will benefit children who make their home at the Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, Meadowland campus. Children have resided on a 40 acre campus in the heart of Boerne for over 30 years. Many in the community are unaware of the abused and neglected children who have found healing, hope, love and support right here in our midst. Since 1986, over five thousand children have been served. RMYA Meadowland is a nonprofit organization, and the state pays less than 65 percent of the actual cost to care for these amazing children. To recognize and support their healing, Random Beer Garden, Anchor Paddleboards and RMYA have teamed up to raise money and awareness of the needs of children who live at RMYA in Boerne. These children deserve every opportunity to become happy, healthy and productive adults. With the support of all of you, we can end the cycle of abuse by restoring hope, one paddle at a time.
